Eco friendly Efforts

ROSEHIP strives to be ecologically conscious and minimize our negative impact on the environment. We are trying to do as much as it can help our planet remain safe and healthy. We are trying to use as much as possible safe and earth friendly alternatives.

• COMPOSTING. Paying for commercial composting (weekly pickup for approx 200 lbs of compostable items).

• RECYCLING. Every single shipping box, paper is reused for our own shipping and floral packaging. Giving them at least 2-3 more uses, and recycling or composting them after they’re no longer viable.

• REPURPOSE. We repurpose plastic pots - for porting large plants we cut up and crush old plastic containers and plant trays. We dry past-prime flowers to use in dry bouquets.

• LOCAL SOURCE. We source flowers from local sources as much as possible including farms in Upstate NY and Long Island, and even grow some accents of greens in our own backyard and upstate. We order from Eco organizing farms as much as possible.

• EVENTS DECOR CHOICES. We frequently use potted plants as part of the decor to reduce cut greenery use, especially for large installations and ceremony backdrop décor.

• CHICKEN WIRE. We have drastically reduced our use of floral foam, instead focusing on designs that can be executed using chicken wire or tape grid.
