At Rosehip we generally design wedding arrangements--we love what we do!--but we were super excited to put together these centerpieces for the Social Science Research Council’s (SSRC) annual gala event.
Design for conferences and corporate events has a very different vibe than design for wedding: Weddings are about romance, love, family, and the personality of the couple, while corporate events focus more on company vision and style. Needless to say, these themes produce palpably different results and the variety is great fun for floral designers.
For the SSRC event, we produced spring-themed flower arrangements. We focused on clean lines and bright citrus-color accents, with just a touch of asymmetry and draping greens: the results were fun fresh arrangements that were sleek and streamlined without being stuffy.
We included crisp white hydrangea, energetic-looking pincushion protheas, soft dianthus barbatus, sunny craspedia, roses, white chrysanthemum, and some really mouthwatering looking kumquats.
The centerpieces truly brightened up the boardroom and reflected the SSRC’s relevance and energy.
